“Banana Thing”: Best Breakfast Ever

My younger daughter does this thing where she eats the same breakfast every single day for six months. Luckily her current favorite is one of the healthiest breakfasts I can imagine. We call it “Banana Thing,” and here’s how to make it …

Peel a banana and slice it in half length-wise. Spread some natural peanut butter (or other nut butter) on one half, and put the other half back on top, like you’re making a sandwich. Spoon some plain yogurt (we use the 0% Fage Greek yogurt) on top of the banana. Drizzle with pure maple syrup or honey. Sprinkle your favorite muesli cereal on top.

I’m with you on that. The day I figured out about bananas and peanut butter for breakfast sort of changed everything. I often put them on whole wheat or some other good-for-you bread, or just slap peanut butter on a banana.

My daughter does this thing where she likes the same thing for breakfast every day for years on end. Well, she might switch up the main course but it ALWAYS starts with a banana. 🙂
